During the past several years, riskful decision-making (RDM), is considered as the central core of many social dysfunctions such as substance abuse, violence, and antisocial personal features. One of important aspects of this high-level cognitive processing, is the inclination for riskful behaviors, called as “risk taking”. Balloon Analogue Risk Task (BART) is a behavioral measure, designed to assess this aspect of RDM. The authors have designed and evaluated the Farsi version of the task. This article introduces this version and procedures undertaken for its development.
