Background and purpose: In the range of human individual and social life, there are countless topics with different ways to learn. Learning can be considered as the most fundamental process as a result of which the helpless and helpless creature during the interaction with physical growth becomes a transformed person whose cognitive abilities and thinking power know no bounds. The aim of the present study was to compare the effectiveness of two methods of attention training based on Fletcher program and computer cognitive rehabilitation on executive functions and cognitive avoidance of children with special learning disabilities.
Methods: This is a quasi-experimental study with a pre-test-post-test design of three groups with a control group (two experimental groups and one control group). Attention training based on Fletcher program and computer rehabilitation training for children was applied to two experimental groups. The control did not receive any training. The statistical population of all students aged 7 to 10 years had learning disabilities referring to learning disability centers located in Tehran in the academic year of 1998-99. Among them, 30 people were selected as the statistical sample by available sampling method. Then, this number was randomly divided into 3 groups (10-person group of attention training based on Fletcher program, 10-person group of computer cognitive rehabilitation for the child and one group of 10 people as the control group). To collect data from Sexto and Dougas (2008) cognitive avoidance questionnaires and executive functions (parent form) Gerard, Givia Peter, Esquis, Steven, Guy and Converse (2000) and attention training based on Fletcher program (12 sessions of 45 minutes), Computer cognitive rehabilitation (10 sessions of 30 minutes individually) was used. Multivariate analysis of covariance and univariate analysis of covariance were used to analyze the data and SPSS software version 24 was used.
Results: Based on the results of the post hoc test that compares two variables, the variables of executive function of students in the control groups and the experimental group were compared. The executive function variables of students in the control and experimental groups were compared in pairs. Considering the significance level of 0.05, it can be stated that: in the executive function variable, the score of the control group showed a significant difference with the scores of both attention training groups based on Fletcher program and computer cognitive rehabilitation method (p <0.001). This indicates that both Fletcher-based attention training interventions and the computer cognitive rehabilitation method have been effective in increasing the executive function of children with special learning. (P 737/0 =). ); This indicates that both interventions have been effective in increasing the executive function of children with special learning, but there is no significant difference between them. Be.
the results showed that; Two methods of attention training based on Fletcher program and computer cognitive rehabilitation are effective on executive functions and cognitive avoidance of children with special learning disabilities.
